Azkals' World Cup dreams ends

Manila- Our National Team came out fighting. They gave their best. But it wasn't meant to be.
Phil Younghusband

The Azkals lost 2-1 at home to Kuwait in game 2 of the 2nd round of the World Cup Qualifiers. Excitement went high as Stephan Schrock scored a goal in the 47:59 in the game clock to break the ice. Hope of overcoming 3-1 aggregate was intense as the crowd went wild. But Kuwait's Naseer scored the equalizer in the 60th minute to tie the game at 1-1 and help them to pull away in aggregate. Suddenly, hopes dropped. Then late in the game, Kuwait's Ali scored the nail in the coffin in the 84th minute to put the Philippine Azkals' World Cup bid to rest. Kuwait advances to the 3rd round
