Not even a week after Anderson Silva retained the UFC middleweight title against Chael Sonnen, the division was again in the main event of an Ultimate Fighting Championship event. This time, it was Mark Munoz and Chris Weidman taking center stage. Munoz came into the fight with a four-fight winning streak and was hoping to earn a shot at Silva with a win, while Weidman had won all eight fights in his professional career and was hoping to keep Munoz's name out of the title talk.
