Kobe Bryant might not be ready to play overseas, but his Los Angeles Lakers teammate is ready to cross the pond.
Ron Artest is headed to the Cheshire Jets in Britain some time in the next month to play during the lockout, the Los Angeles Times reported, citing a person familiar with the negotiations.

A post on Artest's Twitter page read: "Go Jets!!!!! Uk , here we come!!! Jets are the best!!! Jets are the best!!! New chant!!!!!!!!!"

According to FIBA rules, Artest will have to return to the Lakers once the NBA lockout ends.

Artest averaged 8.5 points per game last season and appeared in all 82 games for the Lakers. He has three years and $21 million remaining on his contract.
