Dallas wins 93-87; takes 2-1 series lead.

Dallas- German star forward Dirk Nowitzki scored 18 points, 8 in the 4th quarter, to give Dallas Mavericks a 2-1 series lead over the Oklahoma City Thunder.





The Mavericks took control early building a 23 point lead in the second quarter. Stepping up for Dallas is Shawn Marion who had 18 points. Kidd dished out 8 assists and adding 13 points with Jason Terry contributing as much. Tyson Chandler was active on the boards with 15 rebounds, 6 of them in the offensive end.

The Thunder fought back late in the third to start a run that would cut the lead bit by bit but came up short. Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder had a bad shooting game with 7-22 from the field with 24 points and 12 rebounds while his partner Russell Westbrook bounced back after being benched in the fourth quarter of last game scoring 30 points to fuel the Thunder rally. Unlike in game 2, OKC's bench was not able to put as much scoring into this game as the previous one. *The home team almost broke the NBA record for most three pointers attempted without a make in the playoffs with 1-16.
