Source : ABL
The Indonesia Warriors forced a game 3 after an 81-61 win at their homecourt, Britama Arena.
Evan Brock recorded a double double of 26 points and 16 rebounds. Stanley Pringle contributed a further 13 points and Steve Thomas rounded the Warriors’ top three with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
The Beermen’s top scorer was Duke Crews with 16 points, followed by Leo Avenido’s 13 and Nick Fazekas’ 10.
Beermen’s head coach Bobby Parks has been preaching to his team to start the game better. His team responded by grabbing a 17-12 lead after Banchero hit a basket with 4:39 left in the first quarter but the Warriors regrouped and ended the first quarter with a 24-23 lead.
As in Game 1, both teams were shooting very well in the opening quarter, the Warriors completing a respectable 45% from the field and the Beermen an incredible 59%. The Warriors won more of the rebounds however and at the end of the quarter they were the ones who held the very slim 24-23 lead.
The Warriors carried their momentum going into the second quarter and kept the Beermen scoreless in the opening 3 minutes while they went on a 7 point run. The Beermen were trying hard to find an answer for the Warriors but Canada sank a 3 to give his team their first double digit lead of the afternoon at 40-28 with 3:58 left until the halftime buzzer. Avenido cut the warriors’ lead to 42-33 with a basket going into halftime.

Things did not look good for the Beermen in the third quarter as Thomas and Brock combined for 13 points in the third quarter. A three point play by Steven Thomas gave the Warriors their biggest lead in the game, 64-43, with 1:15 left in the third quarter.
Despite the healthy lead the Warriors did not let up on the intensity and maintained at least a 15 point gap between the teams throughout the entire fourth quarter. In the end, the Warriors, fielding an all local team led by Mario Wuysang ensured that there would be a third game next week as the scoreline read 81-61 to the Warriors at the final buzzer.
